Dr. Robert Schindler, along with his wife, Lynn, opened Schindler Family Dentistry in 1979. Dr. Bob was raised in McClusky, ND. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. Dr. Bob then attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE and received his D.D.S. in 1979.
Dr. Bob enjoys the variety that a day of general dentistry brings. Treating all aspects of his patients, young and old, has brought him great satisfaction.
Dr. Bob’s interests have always involved the outdoors. Time spent hunting, fishing and working with his two dogs at the “hobby farm” are his idea of a great day away from the office.
Dr. Bob also enjoys traveling. His wife, Lynn, and daughter, Mikaela, are always willing companions.
Dr. Katie Stewart joined Schindler Family Dentistry in June of 2007. She attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND and and received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in May of 2003. She then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis, MN and received her D.D.S. in May of 2007.
Dr. Stewart grew up in North Dakota and is very excited to be living in Bismarck again. She is a 1999 graduate of Bismarck High School.
Schindler Family Dentistry became Schindler & Stewart Family Dentistry in January of 2010. Dr. Stewart received the "2013 New Dentist of the Year" Award by the North Dakota Dental Association. Dr. Stewart was named one of the Bismarck Tribune's "40 under 40" professionals for 2015.
Dr. Stewart enjoys all facets of dentistry, especially working with children. She lives in Bismarck with her husband, Nate and daughters, Braelyn, Jaedyn, and Ashtyn.
Steven Deisz, D.D.S.
Dr. Steven Deisz joined Schindler Family Dentistry in September of 2014. Dr. Steve was born and raised in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary's Central High School in 2005. He attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and received a B.S. in Biology in May of 2008. He then attended the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ and received his D.M.D. in May of 2014.
Dr. Steve enjoys the variety that general dentistry provides. He is eager to learn and constantly looking for CE courses to continue to grow his dental knowledge, having already completed a 300 hour course on dental implants before graduating dental school.
Dr. Steve is very excited to be back in his hometown where he enjoys the year-round outdoor activities North Dakota has to offer. He enjoys exercising, playing music, and spending time with his wife, Jill, their dog, Kirby and cat, Joey.
